Chana masala
Chana masala is an Indian curry with chickpeas as the main ingredient. This recipe is from Recipezaar, but I've changed it a bit.

Chana masala

Ingredients
2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 clove of garlic, minced
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp fresh coriander stalks
1 tsp grouund cumin
a pinch of cayenne pepper
1 tomato, chopped
1 small tsp turmeric
1 small cup of water
1 can of chickpeas
1 tsp paprika powder
1 small tsp garam masala
0,5 tsp chana masala (optional)
salt
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 red or green chili pepper, minced
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
fresh coriander leaves, chopped

Directions
1. Fry the onion and garlic until slightly browned.
2. Turn the heat low and add the coriander stalks, cumin, cayenne pepper and turmeric.
3. Stir for a few seconds and add the tomato and ginger.
4. After a few minutes, add the chick peas and 1 cup of water.
5. Add the paprika powder, garam masala, (chana masala), salt, lemon juice and chili.
6. Heat covered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
7. Finally, sprinkle the fresh coriander leaves on the dish and leave under the lid for a few minutes before serving.

Serve with rice. Serves 2.
