This is my vegan version of pesto.

Ingredients
2 cups fresh basil leaves
1/2 cup fresh parsley, optional
3-5 tbsp olive oil
1-2 cloves garlic
3 tbsp cashews
some salt

Directions
Mix all the ingredients in a food processor. Blend until a smooth paste is formed, but leave some texture if desired. Add more olive oil if necessary.
Mix with freshly cooked pasta or spread on sandwiches and bread.
