Tomato-carrot sauce

Ingredients
3 tomatoes
2 carrots, peeled
3 smaller onions
5-6 tbsp oil for frying
a small piece of chili pepper
1/2 red pepper
basil or Italian herbs
rosemary
salt
black pepper
ground coriander
Directions
Coarsely chop the tomatoes, chili, red pepper, onions and carrots. Add them to a food processor and process until more or less even, with small lumps of vegetables. Add some oil to the pan, heat it for a minute and then add the vegetable mixture. Add the spices. Simmer the mixture on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are soft.
Serve with rice or pasta. This sauce is rather solid.
Serves 2-3.
